CRT Advocates and Friends,

Big thanks to all the organizations and individuals who worked on getting 77 members in the House of Representatives to sign-on to the CRT Congressional letter to CMS. The letter, which can be read here, urges CMS to quickly proceed to the next step in the review process for establishing Medicare coverage of Power Seat Elevation and Standing Systems.

Reps. Jim Langevin (D-RI) and Don Young (R-AK) led the letter, which will be delivered to CMS with strong bipartisan support (49 Ds and 28 Rs). The signers include 14 members of the House Committees that oversee the Medicare program. Click here to view the final list.

We sincerely thank Rep. Langevin, Rep. Young, and their House colleagues who signed on to urge CMS to prioritize the request for needed access to this important CRT. If your Representative signed on, please be sure and send them a thank you email. We want to keep them engaged as we move forward.

The work to secure Medicare coverage will continue in collaboration with the ITEM Coalition and other CRT stakeholders. This strong show of Congressional support is a very positive step in improving access to these important technologies for people with disabilities.

Regards,

Don
